Thank you to my Grandson, who is proudly serving in the
Marine Corp, stationed in Afghanistan.


To the rest of my family, serving now or in the past,
I thank you for protecting our shores.


To all of you nameless faces, 
who will spend your Holidays on foreign shores away
from your loved Ones, 
I thank you from the bottom of my heart!


We go about our daily lives forgetting that the reason we are free
hinges on these men and women 
who opt to spent a portion of their
lives protecting us.


Stop today, for just a moment,
in your busy life and say a silent
