Usually I just post a photo and that's it but with this one I have to add a little of me to it. This bird is from way back when. There were several that Momma unpacked each Christmas and added to the tree. They were old then so who knows what their age is today. But as I place them upon my tiny little tree my mind returns to the days of my youth, when life was simple, troubles few and love plenty.
It's the mad dash now, to get the last presents, finish the baking, the delivery, the cards etc etc etc. Please, don't forget that the true joy of the Season isn't the number of gifts under the tree or the rows of cookies in the kitchen it's the love your share from your heart and soul to those around you the other 364 days of the year. Have a wonderful Holiday everyone, smile at your neighbor, say hello to a fellow shopper and be a little kinder to yourself.
Life is very short don't miss the opportunities that are around us each day to make our lives just a little bit better.
Hugs Patti
